The XP Deus Group Training Day

I was contacted by Liam Nolan from the MDF forum and I asked if it would be possible to hold an XP Training day for his forum members
I didn’t need much persuading as the chance of meeting new XP Deus users and talking about their feedback is something I never turn down, plus the chance to make some money for my charity made it worth driving 150 miles each way.

Liam the dig organiser

I arrived the night before and met up with some of the dig members, the hospitality was great and I can’t thank them enough for making me feel very welcome, I could tell straight away that this club had a good solid foundation with really good people working behind the scenes. Nigel from Regton turned up just in time for dinner and we all sat around talking detecting.
The next morning we headed off to the dig venue to be greeted again by some of the team, half smiles appeared from wind-swept faces, with hoods up, tightly gripping cups of tea, my initial thoughts were “This could go 2 ways” depending on the weather.

The day started with heavy wind and heavy rain forecast for later in the day, thankfully it held off until late afternoon, we had a great day and met some wonderful people who are a real credit to the hobby.

The XP Deus training event went very well , the very next day we started receiving positive feedback from those who attended. We look forward to more future training days.

Thanks to Liam and the MDF forum members for making us feel very welcome, we raised £350.00 for Macmillan.
