That's very cool Gary....and very true. I have a buddy that served in Kosovo and Iraq and suffers from PTSD. Detecting has helped him a lot.

loveley -not just ex forces -either -it goes for all of us folk whom graft hard all our lives & sometimes stress -its just a cool way to get away from stresses life brings -would not change it for the world FREEDOM :D

I agree... I have a lot of day dreams regarding finds.

Who were the people that lost them... or had them taken from them... or the row of musket balls across a field.

I have been thinking of writing short stories entitled "Daydreams from Field Number 2"

I have made some incredible finds... simply unbelievable

All Servicemen suffer from it, also Police men and women, Firemen and Fire women Ambulance men and women Nurses Doctors, I take a couple of Police on my digs and it surely seems to do them good, they were very self conscious as they thought that others on the digs would not accept them, however nothing could be further from the truth, they soon relaxed and joined in the banter.
