todays hunt on new permission-

got there on pasture -& early plowing ridge & furrow ect -only to find powerlines overhead & electric fencing -around everyfield---jesus wept -i felt sorry for my deus ----some outer fields -it seemed to calm down -& behave ok-ish----on one large field it behaved okish -but not as good as it normaly does----again -but as i walked down the hill it went nuts reading everthing -signals everywhere---this happened in 6 out of 11 fields ---signals everywhere again -high & low -----sending me cranky now --i was using garys hot programme--inwich ive used on 6 other farms with fantastic results----0f course setting ground balances-in each field--& lowering sensetivity -ect ect---so i switched to garys -sprite---same again ---& i tried other basic factory settings---switched machine off & headphones reebooted --still went cranky on certain fields----NOW THE BIG QUESTION----MY BIGGEST CONCERN WAS GETTING A SIGNAL EVERY SECOND ON A FIELD AS IF IT HAD HAD A 1000-CARBOOT SALES----WHY?----YET IN OTHERS SURROUNDED BY THE SAME FENCING /ELECTRIC/---MY DEUS SORT OF BEHAVED --AND I FOUND GOODIES -HORSEFAIR PLAQUES -vic penny -george 2nd farthing--2 modern 20ps-& a penny & bulk ect-and a roman coin----ill upload pics when i know what it is---- :D gary hot program & others including factory installed have done me proud --but all i can think of is theres loads of trash buried in areas ---??---or is it it the deus is so sensetive it dont like electric fencing----cos ive gone under electric plylons before and had no troubles-----weird -any advice lads -i thought my coil was knackered -----& dont say stay away from electric fences i know -ps i cant add a smiley

Electric fences. Killers. Spent last weekend fighting the false beeps. Have a Garrett 400i as well, useless near the fences too. Going back in January when the farmer switches them off. The Deus was slightly better than the 400i near the fences but they are killers, Goldfield worked pretty well though.

Fences use an electric pulse, Pylons are very different sources of EMI.
There is no real way to combat the problem from fences that I am aware of.

lads i realy appreciate your good advice--its put my mind at rest that my coil aint knackered -ill tell him turn em off all the best dean --nickname crank :D
