coil cover holding water

Postby crank » Sun Dec 18, 2016 11:02 pm

acts like a bit of a water keeper on my coil in long deep wet grass -on turning upside down it floods out--i know coils are waterproof but be nice to have a over top cover aswell ?-as i dont use mine underwater well not that much anyway--finding when removing coil cover to clean after a hunt -allthough now dry -seems to retain a lott of water in coil cover -mmmmm ideas ?

what im saying is for those whom dont clean up after a hunt the water will be sitting in coil cover constantly penetrating damp
into coil real-overtime -? allthough waterproof -long term it may cause damage

& coils are waterproof 100% of the time so no problem leaving it with damp between, of course you could stop it getting between with some carefully applied silicon sealant, & only remove the cover when it's worn out.
