whos going to buy one??--i know there good for highly mineralised soil &gold nuggets -wonder how they will peform on our uk soil -big htz jump be intresting

So far I can tell you they are very stable and find microscopic targets, some good some bad.
Have not found any Gold nuggets yet.
The signal rings out on small Roman coins, have also found some big Victorian pennies at reasonable depth which surprised me.
The battery in the lower stem is a brilliant idea.

Been holding back buying the black 9 inch coil till the new white coil arrive still don't know which would be best,then there is the elliptical coil also,hope we soon get some information soon exciting times indeed.

Is the new hf coil better on uk minerilised ground , than the standard coils ,

Have a field very heavy minerilised and trashy , will the hf coil be good for these conditions , or are best for cleaner sites

I am running Hf coil at 30 kHz it seems to be very stable the only thing I can say at the moment is that smaller targets do ring out a lot better.I will try 30 kHz for a few days more to see how it goes.

Gubby thanks for update, I just bought new coil and will have a play, have you tried the lower frequency on the hf coil
