selectable id norm feature

Postby rszlazar » Sat Oct 06, 2018 4:33 am

Hi XP i have an update request please.

a feature of a selectable id norm of 4khz for use across all frequencies as an addition to the current 18khz id norm.

rational: to offer greatly increased id spread on high conductors and significantly improve target identification, thus reducing the digging of trash and unwanted items which cannot be notched or accurately identified due to the bunching effect of id's caused by high khz use.

the lowest frequency of 3.7khz khz offers the greatest id spread on high conductors such as copper and allows for excellent user discrimination. for Australian users the lowest and highest value coinage (1c, 2c, $1 $2) have very similar copper composition, with the coins respective dimension and mass being the main reason for id variation. using the lowest possible frequency of 3.7khz offers a superior id spread offering about a 15 id point spread across the range of modern copper coins, which takes into account their condition. however when using the current id norm of 18khz, and individual ids of each higher frequency, the id spread on these same coins is dramatically reduced down to only about a 3 id point variation, thus making it impossible to properly identify low and high value coins and also eliminate trash items. thus the poor id spread offered by high frequencies impacts the intended benefits of these frequencies to the user.

when hunting for modern coinage/coin shooting their is no option other then to use the lowest frequencies and forgo the use of high frequencies. using high frequencies id's or the current only id norm option of 18khz brings with it the digging of very high volumes of trash and inability to eliminate unwanted items.

could xp please include a selectable id norm feature offering the 4khz id spread across all frequencies, instead of the current 18khz id norm.

thankyou very kindly robert szotyori lazar
